I actually need a replacement bet for a Chicago Electric 3 1/4" Planer (P/N 32222). Obviously it is a Harbor Freight special and getting a replacement belt from them is as likely as turning lead into gold (or turning white pine into ironwood). After searching the web, I found several posts listing the replacement belt to be the same as a Hitachi P20 belt. Unfortunately, The Hitachi P20 planer belt is discontinued. I have found belts for a Hitachi F20 planer. Are the replacement belts for the the Hitachi F20 the same as the P20?

If its something you use often it may be time to get a better one. If not, buy a new Harbor Freight one. It will probably cost you more to get a belt than to get a new one at HF.

I have found a F20 belt for $1.99 and no shipping...if it fits. I don't use it often and when I do, it is used on rough wood.

Has anyone worked with these planers or had to replace the belt on it?
