It looks like an aircraft carrier! And about as heavy too.

You'll probably need the hat to protect your eyes from the glare coming off that huge metal surface!

Very, very, nice.

I even like the circular saw - I've got the same one and love it.

I could probably use some guidance too! :D

Enterprise.

Seriously, it is very pleasing to my eyes!

It is in the uninsulated portion of my workshop. It's all coming together at once!

The construction continues with the smart guide!

Nice way to get your post count up, Dan...and keep the boys and girls on the edge of their chairs at the same time.

NICE GLOATS!! Especially that 'big 10 inch" one... ;)

Yo Dan....I was kinda' wondering when those items would show up in a post! Congrats on all FOUR!!!:D Make sure you do some followup on all the equipment and let us know how it all performs! You're off to the races, now!:)

it's incomplete without the fence on that aircraft carrier. BTW how much does that baby weigh?

Dan Racette

The "conning tower", and I probably messed that saying up, is now operational.

Now the sad sad part. This nice 240v equip, and no 240v runs yet!

The bugger weighs 1000lbs crated, 900lb raw. I am seriously "distracted" working around it! Just want to watch it go! Make it go! Make it go!...

Well, Back to the backbreakin' frustration'!

Can't wait to have a 'proper' place to host a club event!

Excellent gloat Dan! Pictures included for proof. Great to have a hat proving you're Captain of that aircraftcarrier! Congrats!

Dan---That's some cool stuff you've got there. I know exactly how frustrating it can be with no 240, I'm still waiting for mine!

I keep saying that to myself let's get this going so I can get some work done!

I think I could use that crating material for some expansion to the "doghouse" I am probably in when the statements come end of the month!!!

Chips need to fly!

Thanks guys!

Very nice, does this Oliver replaces a smaller machine? (can you see where I'm going?)

Dan Racette
06-01-2005, 11:04 AM
The oliver is my first jointer. I made a stupid decision based on some bad info (pre-membership to smc) and bought a 6" harbor freight that never got de-crated and is going back.

I love the way that you built up to the third gloat. And that third gloat is very very impressive. Congratulations, and happy jointing!
