What are these Minimax CU300 Smart parts are for?

These plastic parts came with my used Minimax CU300 Smart combo machine. I don't know what these are for and did not see them mentioned in the manual. Anyone know what these are for?

They look to me like shipping wedges used to block the sliding tables??????????????

I purchased that same machine new. Those two plastic parts are part of the packing materials. It has been a couple of years, but I think they held the sliding table in place. Nevertheless, they are not needed for daily operation, just during transport.

Mine was in the blade guard. Apparently the blade slot tends to close upon itself while not in use and the wedge is to keep it open.

I think this makes sense. One of mine was also inside the blade guard, but I assumed it got there accidentally. I had thought it was needed for operation rather than transport. Good to hear I don't need to worry about these.
