Hemlock / fir trim had conditioner pre applied, then Rodda stain applied. blotch is bad enough that some of the wood looks like a leopard print.
On some samples
photo 1 is stained without a sealer, looks remarkably like the trim in the house, even though I watched the sealer being applied.
Photo 2 is stained after applying minwax sealer then stained
Photo 3 is stained without sealer just for comparison
Note that 1 and 3 strongly resemble the results on the new trim.
All photos are on scrap from trim package.
Photo 2492b is of actual on site. Painter says splotches are unavoidable, LOML, has blood in her eye. Any thoughts would help.
