Hello Creekers!

I inherited my grandpa's contractor saw, and it happens to have an older PC 100-M router mounted in the extension wing.

271117

There is surprisingly little information available about this router online, other than it's the same as the Rockwell model 100. Does anyone know if there is a manual available for download? It looks like a lot of the 690 accessories may fit, and that it will only take a 1/4" collet - anyone know for sure?

Thanks!

Model 100, 7/8 HP, and only takes 1/4" shank bits. Bases are interchangable with both 630, and 690's.

I have one that is broken I came across yesterday. Someone tried to take it apart and broke the casting. I have been looking for parts ever since it was given to me and the truth is I don't need another router. If you want it I'll send it to you or the cost of shipping. I nearly threw it away yesterday too.

The manual appears to be available here: http://powertool.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/portercable/portercable_router_product_list.html

I am unfamiliar with the site and have no connection but a Google search showed the manual available.

Best router ever made in my opinion
It is great for freehand work
Has enough horsepower to tackle a wide variety of tasks, yet has a low profile/center of gravity that makes it easy to use
Mine is over 30 years old and used weekly
