Hi,
I am alaways on the lookout for a reasonably costed QSWO supply around Rochester. I'd like to find a sawmill I could buy from directly. I usually buy 4/4 or 5/4, and skipplaned is nice but not neccesary. Normally this is around 7$/bd ft at a retail place.. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks for your help.

Alan,
Several weeks ago I visited this http://www.pittsfordlumber.com/Pittsford-Lumber/home-Pittsford-Lumber.html place with a friend. He needed some black walnut. I noticed a good selection, but did not shop for prices.
Another place, though not quite close, would be http://Niagaralumber.com in East Aurora. The prices listed on their web page include shipping. If 'cash and carry', they would be somewhat lower. I do not know of any sawmills - you would probably need to come up with your own drying.
Best wishes,
Metod

You might try Lakeshore Hardwoods as well. I get a fair amount from them. Three locations with one in Victor, NY. http://www.lakeshorehardwoods.com/

Never bought any WO, but I've gotten very good prices from these guys http://buffalo.craigslist.org/mat/4011672799.html, located in N. Tonawanda.

Holt and Bugbee will likely deliver to your location. They are a wholesaler so they have minimums. Usually 200 BF is enough to get them to deliver. $4-5/BF
