My buddy Mike drop this off Thursday night after it was being held for me for some 6 month so i had a good look at it for the first time sense i payed for it in Feb.It was missing the diamond stone on one side but i had picked one up a few months ago for $25. The reason the stone was off was the shaft was bent on that side by about 30 thou(could see with the eye. I was able to straighten it to about 2 thou with the metal vise and put new SKF bearings on it and it ran smooth with out the plates. the plate was bent about 75 thou and i hammer it to 35 thou out of flat. this must have drooped over to cause this damage. people don't sale good machine cheap for no reason.

readings on the flange plates after the shaft was straitened(new bearings and the plate hammered.

I had to true the plates so i made a cutting sled to hold a HSS cutter out of wood that rides in the table slot.

by lightly taping on the cuter i was able to flatten the plate to within 1 thou. with about ten light passes.

i drill out holes on the side i did not cut as mush off to re-balance the plate, and use the "Queens Beaver" to balance the disk/plate.

dressed the green stone and mounted the diamond wheel and set it in place. Nice little grinder for the lathe IMO.
