I need a 3/16 bit to cut specific groove for a project I'm working on. I was look at the Whiteside bits and noticed that they sell straight bits and "veining bits". It looks to me like they're pretty much the same thing. I'd call them, but it's Saturday evening. I won't be available to call them on Monday, or place my order for that matter. Anyone know the answer?

Shorter cutting length on the veining.

That's it? It's just a shorter bit? No wonder Google wasn't able to come up with anything in a comparison search.

I didn't check on overall length, I just saw the cutting length was shorter. A traditional veining bit has a radius, but they do make flat bottom veining.
