Looking to pick up a horizontal raised panel bit and noticed there a few different types, does anyone have any preferences from a safety or performance point of view?
With or without back cutters?
2+2 raised panel, what does the 2+2 stand for?.
2 vs 3 wing?

Thanks

The Freud 2+2 design is my preference. The "2+2" stands for their method of using opposite shear angles on each pair of the four cutting surfaces to reduce fuzzies and make for a cleaner cut. As far as I know, this is a unique feature to Freud.

I also prefer no backcutter...if I need that, I'd rather mill it separately.
