Using 60111 for DYI aluminum Handles
what wall your thickness and depth of hole for the gouge, hollowing tooling
5/8 bowl gouge, used for roughing Large stuff thinking of a 24" length ?
5/8 18" length
1/2 18" length
1/2 16" length
Medium size hollowing tool
Large size hollowing tool

Brett, I had a thread earlier about this. I used 1in tubing either .087 or .125 wall thickness and either 7/8 or 3/4 in rod to plug the end. The rod is drilled at least 2in deep' but prefer all the way through and cut abot 3in long. Two set screw holes are drilled through both the rod and tube or the rod only with it extending out past the end of the tube about 1in.

Cover the whole thing with tape or PVC tube for a better grip.

curious why did you use a aluminum tub with a steel rod, rather than a solid aluminum rod?

The rod was aluminum also.
