Are these grubs ??

Got a lot !! of tan colored bugs that are the size and width of caterpillars crawling all over the porch every night . They get into the dog's water dish and dog food, crawl all over the bench and chairs. What are they ????? Are they grubs ?

Slugs will do that .Are they brown grey and real slimy?

YES! Look almost like a short, fat worm.

Slugs.....will typically leave a slimy trail where they have traveled.....on concrete for example. There is slug bait that can be bought and put out.

I have heard of people taking small dishes and putting beer in it. The slugs crawl in and drowned.

They're called "Fish bait".

The one's I seen don't have the black spots or the 2 prongs on the end. I will get a picture of what they look like .

Pour salt on them, or salty water.. Works every time.

Create a perimeter around your porch with ordinary table salt. Snails and slugs that crawl through it will dissolve.
