This is a little demo prep for my upcoming demo on "goblets with ornate stems/pedestals" on September 7th. This one has just a little ambrosia track in it, but nothing striking as far as figure.......a little plain Jane, & just a piece of maple that was about the right size for this goblet.

While I like to combine woods such as walnut and maple for contrast and effect, the demo is just to show the technique, so I just made this one to show one of many styles that are possible.

This is 7.5" tall and almost 3" wide at the rim. A couple coats of Woodturners Finish over a coat of shellac to pop the grain a little. Comments always welcome.

Nice chalice, Roger
I'd be happy if my finished pieces turned out as nice as your demo's

Thanks Kathy............I am about to slow down here after this one! Too many demos in too short a time span........I am ready for a little break! ;)
