Roof ventalation on flat roof

It should have been done BEFORE the flat roof was completed , but of course, the roofer forgot to install the roof fan and did not know about it until the roof job was completed!:rolleyes: So, this brings up the question:

Can a roof fan be installed on a rubber roof AFTER the roof has already been installed without compromising the roof. Don't want to have water leaks because of the roof fan installation, but also don't want to have to put up with ice building up again on the roof! Roofer does not want to install the fan now , because he is afraid the roof will leak if puts the fan in .:eek:

Did the contract with the roofer include installing the fan? Did it specify that the fan was to be installed prior to the roof?

It can be done, but it will require specialized hot air welding tools (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q45VnJGnskc).

Who made the membrane? I would start with a call to the people who really know the product.
