I'm trying to glue 3" long bracket feet and keep them square during clamping. I believe the shape of the face in not allowing me to clamp it and keep the joint tight. I've tried several methods, no luck as yet. 1) The feet have a 3/8" hole, so I cut a 90 deg. wedge out of a block of wood. Then put a piece of dowel across the two holes and clamped. I had to shim both sides to keep it tight, but clamping twist the joint. 2) Put two braids 1/16" proud on the 45 deg surface to hold it together. Then used the same jig, no luck. 3) Tried a piece of plywood with two pieces of scrap at 90 deg. and tried clamping. Even used corner spring clamps.

If it was feet for a piece of furniture I would use a spline, but these are 1 x 3 x 3/4. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Some pictures would get you better answers so I apologize if this is off base. Quick to make and can be used again and again.

If things are too cramped, use double-stick tape to attach these to your parts and then clamp.
