It sure brightened it up in there. I put three coats on the walls and ceiling. I will put one more coat on the walls tomorrow and then begin to install the DriCore (http://www.dricore.com/en/eindex.htm) Sub Floor. Got to keep moving on this project as I have to frame up and sheetrock the new family room too.

Thanks for looking.

Very very nice John! Can't wait to see it with your equipment in there. Now, get off the computer and get back to work! :)

Hard to believe that's the same "cave" we saw just short time ago.
Great work and a lot of it!
It looks much brighter with the paint.
Your going to have a great space.

Last week you told me you think you will like your new shop location. Now I see way, looks like a great space to set up your shop. Since now you will work in a basement think about ventilation, even with the best dust collection system, there’s nothing better then some fresh air.

John,

Very nice and purely bright! I'm sure you'll appreciate the great reflective lighting the white will provide for many projects to come. You're really doing a great job on your new shop. I'm sure you're "chomping at the bit" to get to the point of moving in the tools and acutally using them in their new abode.

Congratulations on the transformation!

John - You've convinced me to paint my walls! That looks great! :)

John you may have convinced me to paint my own shop walls. I also have sheets of OSB (1/4") but not painted.
You may have to wear shades just to do some work in here.
Great job. And watch those fingers.

For all of you guys thinking about painting your osb. Use a good primer/sealer as the osb bleeds a yellow through paint or a CHEAP primer. Please DAMHIKT

did you put the rough side or the smooth side out on your osb?

Smooth side out.

Looks great. I did my shop the same way http://www.superwoodworks.com/Projects/ShopShots.htm but did not prime first. I ended up giong back and priming with KILZ in some spots to keep the yellow from bleeding through. This method works well. I have no regrets other than the OSB seems to be very random when it comes to the thickness.

John, you have a sweet, sweet shop in the works there! I'm really looking forward to seeing it finished & populated.

PS, you might need some dark sunglasses to work in there!
