Did my first cigar pen using stabilized teal dyed maple from AS. Just got my first order from AS and it definitely will not be my last. Their eye candy is well worth it and you can't beat the service.
Almost blew my first attempt though. Wasn't paying attention to the placement of the bushings. Had to cut out a piece and glue in another piece and re turn it. Unless your looking for it I don't think you can spot it. I'm sure not telling :D . After working with this stabilized wood it sure is going to be hard to use just plain wood again. It turns so easy and takes a great finish.
