I am looking for a sterling silver pendant, to laser engrave someones signature, does anyone know of a source, about 1-1/2 to 2 inches long, somewhere around 3/8 of an inch wide. Any help would be so appreciated.

I can't give you a source for the silver but I can tell you that I've had ZERO luck engraving it with CO2 laser. I don't know what equipment you have but I wish you well in your search.

Bruce is right... you need a fiber laser to mark silver (preferably something in the 350nm range, but with enough power you can get away with the standard 1060nm). Don't think of using Cermark with the CO2, it will rub off in a heartbeat the first time it is cleaned.

Thank you all for your help. Then any metal will do . . . maybe stainless, I have a sister that has 7 children and one of them wants to do her dad's signature on a pendant for her brothers and sisters for Christmas. Help please?
