Pecan & Sweet Gum Fountain Pens

I haven't had much time in the shop this summer. But I've finished a couple of fountain pens lately. The 1st pen is a Capri Mini Fountain Pen made out of 200 year old pecan that had to be harvested. Pecan was cut & milled. Then stored in the shop for ten years. I made a swap for a small board of this pecan. Cut several straight pen blanks & a couple crosscut pen blanks out of it. The second pen is the same kit made out of a sweet gum blank.

Sweet! Got a number of sweet gum trees on my property that just may need some pruning. Never knew it was that good looking.
