Certainly a larger turning and the wood has some good character. Is it a hollow form or a shaped solid?

Thanks, it is freestanding, and hollowed to about 3/8. Some of the wood was very "iffy" so I didn't dare go thinner. That is one of the benefits of gilding. You can cover up repairs in cracks you don't want anyone to see.
