Wagner Control Spray Plus for turning?

I am at Rocklers San Diego looking at the Wagner Control Spray Plus system for$39.99. A steal if it is good for turnings. Wasted $$ if it does not work for turnings. Any experience with this unit?

I am wondering if it is good for painting fences or varnishing violins.
