Poplar Plate inspired by the Mughal Dynasty Jali that I saw in India at the Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri and the Wind Palace. Pierced and airbrushed with waterborne lacquer finish. Around 8" (20 cm) across

very nice Eric..(I am distracted by the holder behind it.) Super piece & I'm sure there was a lot of work & patience needed. thanks for sharing

Eric. Great looking piece looks like something that I can only dream of accomplishing.

I might add that I too was distracted by the holder . .

Great looking plate! I agree with Michelle about the holder. I'd suggest making a holder that would support the plate without the upright.

Thanks everyone, this was a fun piece to make. Some of the piercing was done as a public demo on turning and embellishing at the Fuller Craft Museum.
