I just stumbled across a new use for the laser, making stencils for bleaching shirts. It leaves a very distinctive look. I would put a link but it is to another forum. Do a search for "Guide on How to Bleach Fabric stencil revolution" and it should be the first result. I think the stencils could cut with the laser, the only thing you have to keep in mind is you are working in negative.

Thanks for the hint Joe!

You can also find some useful tutorials if you find yourself to the correct stencil-website.

The guy gave a nice write-up on the entire process, too.

I would assume the same stencil process could be used with the same paints that are used for air brushing on shirts. Although I don't think you could get the same effect as with bleach. For someone who already owns a laser to make the stencils it is a cheap way to get in to shirt decorating without the expense of screen printing equipment.
