In the interest of group based knowledge sharing:D
Just put together a jig for the router, 3/4" base and fences, 1/2" splines to keep it all square.
I have 4, 7'+ columns to flute.
MDF is such a dust storm:mad:

Nice jig. Looks like it's doing an awesome job on those columns.

Really nice jig Aaron. What model router is that? Does the dust collection work well?

Thanks guys, DC is So-So.
I ended up pulling off the crevice tool and putting in a section of 2-1/2 straight tube with a tool adapter on the end.
The tool adapter is just one of those step adapter things with different size holes. (love the formal lingo? LOL)
Just having the round 1-1/4" stuck in behind the chip shield worked better.
Router is a PC 690 with a plunge base.
Flutes are done with a 3/4" box core bit.
