I'm gearing up for some Christmas presents. I made a bunch of Lincoln Logs. They were pretty fun to crank out in my first test run. I plan on making a lot more.

The suggested stain for the logs is Minwax Red Mahogany #225. I picked up a quart. Now I'm trying to figure out the fastest, simplest way to stain the logs. I figure I can dip, spray, or brush. I do have a Earlex 5500 HVLP. Any hints on the fastest, easiest way to do this? Or are they mutually exclusive? :p

I make some scroll saw puzzles out of 3/4" material and have to finish 20-30 pieces. I put them in a gallon zip lock bag and pour the finish in it and shake it a bit. I take the pieces out and shake most of the finish back in the bag, wipe them off and then hang them on small wires.

Whatever solution that you come up with will likely to be tedious.

setup a "fryer" method, basket full of parts dipped, and then shaken and dumped on towels, etc...
