Not So High Tech Dust Collection Hose Mount

I recently moved my lathe to a new spot and am still in the process of making a new dust collector pickup. In the interim, this is what I came up with for holding the hose in place when sanding and also for storing out of the way when not in use. The rod is a scrap piece of drill rod from an Ellsworth type hollowing tool that I tried to make; I drilled the hole very crooked so it was just lying around.
