Just came today. 267217267218 cleaned it up a bit267219 only to find the cap iron to be very fussy to set, the iron is just a 1-3/4" wide block plane iron:eek:without any indication whether it was a bevel up, or down. Tried an old Stanley block plane iron and cap iron267220267221:eek::confused::confused: not only did it fit, it worked better the the original (maybe) parts did. length is almost the same as another "Critter Plane"267222Strange things came in the mail box..... any clues as to WHAT that plane was, or is? (besides a $3 cheapy)

I can't even tell which of the planes you are talking about.

Ah yes, now I know what to do with this old plane!

P. A.. R T.. plane! I think Ican use that tote on another plane, that low kanoobie will come in handy. The iron will be a spare for my block planes like a #110 and such. Could always sell the base and cap on feebay? Maybe keep the handle bolts for any Union /KK planes that show up?

Or glue macaroni on it and spray paint it gold.

Generic plane parts like that are seldom worth the trouble to list on Ebay.

Not worth keeping around the shop of mine, either. Maybe plate them Bronze for the L-N Glee Club?

paint a pastoral scene on it and start a new trend. Or maybe airplanes, and start an ever weirder new trend.
