I'm primarily a turner and flat work guy. However there is some really nice work being done combining turning and power carving. Hence I'm ready to make the leap. First order of business, acquire a micromotor and controller. Some buddies have NSK EMAX units, but I'm thinking I probably don't need to make that kind of investment.

I would appreciate any recommendation and experiences.
