Sadly, i have been tasked with creating an urn for the cremains of my wife's sister-in-law. I am not sure what the wood is, it was simply the only piece in my stash large enough for the task that bugs hadn't gotten to. A little over 10" tall, the lid screws in using some PVC threaded fittings.

Sorry for the quality of the pics, they were taken with my cell phone. I usually photograph outside with a tent, but it has been raining all week.
Whatever the wood is it is native to south-central Florida.

Very nice piece. I'm sure the family appreciates that there is a wood artist in the family. My condolences to you and yours.
