Spalted Maple

This is spalted maple that came from my SIL yard. She said it was suppose to be Silver maple. Picture was taken with an ipad and I want to see if it will post.

The Ipad picture came out pretty well (I would have preferred less grass and more bowl). The hollow form looks great and shows off the character of this wood.

Thanks for looking. I had to resize the pic to get it to load. Any idea what the max size is for a pic. Dennis I thought the grass was kind of cute

I just went to the shop and measured it and it is 9.5"tall by 8.5" dia. I don't measure very often, small, medium and large, just like the shirt makers.
