I just received a new pair of motor brushes from Grizzly. They are lower resistance than the originals and (according to the documentation) will reduce possible damage to the saw from overheating. Grizzly sent them to me unsolicited, so everybody with one of these saws should be getting a pair. I installed them in about 10 minutes, no big deal.
I wonder if Scheppach buyers will be getting them as well? I also wonder if enough users were able to melt their saws that the manufacturer felt obliged to do something. My saw has been working fine, although I haven't tried to rip 8/4 Ipe with it, just sheet goods. I really like it so far.
Anyway, if you don't get new brushes, it might be worth calling Grizzly for a pair.
