Has there been any info on powermatic now jet no. jwp 208-1 20 in. planner with 3 hp. motor i see one for sale for 600. barely used it is powermatic model but pretty shore it is made in china ??

That is a very low price for a 20" planer, but as it is 3 hp, would guess it is several years old. Grizzly's G1033 used to be 3 hp, but has been 5 hp for several years. Doubt that this planer is exactly like the G1033, probably G0454 if you would like to compare. Most likely it is a straight blade planer, you can upgrade to Grizzly helical probably. I'd buy it if it is what you want, and consider upgrading the cutterhead.
