I finally finished up another one of the blanks I got from Mike Smith a few years back. This one is BLM turned into a chip and Dip platter that is just over 19" in Dia. It is finished with walnut oil. The picture don't show the slope of the platter much, but it does have a nice gentle slope like a plate. Thanks, Jack http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v727/flyrod444/BLMchipanddip2_zps3996fb4d.jpg (http://smg.photobucket.com/user/flyrod444/media/BLMchipanddip2_zps3996fb4d.jpg.html) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v727/flyrod444/chipanddipblmplatter_zps4931ab82.jpg (http://smg.photobucket.com/user/flyrod444/media/chipanddipblmplatter_zps4931ab82.jpg.html)

Beautiful piece of wood and a great job on the turning. Are these two separate pieces or did you do it as one piece?

Thanks everyone. Steve, it is turned from a single peace of wood. turning under the dip bowl and sanding this area is very hard to say the least. Jack

Jack, since it is one piece of wood, that make it even more impressive. Keep up the good work.
