Anybody remember a discussion or a video about using expanding foam in a wood box to hold an odd shaped piece. Any help will be appreciated.

To turn? Or to house for storage/shipping?

If the foam is for holding an odd shaped piece in a chuck for turning, David Springett discusses this in his Woodturning Full Circle book.

I do remember seeing a Youtube video where they used foam in a form to stabilize a large burl for turning but I can't find it now. It was quite a while ago that I watched it and it seems to me the sound was not in English, but I could be mistaken.

Thank you everyone, that's not exactly what I remember seeing but it does help. Wish me luck.
