I want to do a baseball bat for my nephew's 6th Birthday. I was wondering about bat dimensions for this age group. I would like to size it so he gets a couple years use from it. He is a little big for his age. I plan on using ash. Thanks

I don't know if this will help but I bought a Louisville Slugger little league bat for about $10 at Academy and used it as a pattern to make a bat for my grandson a couple of years ago when he was about 6. One thing to think about is that unless you are a whole lot better than I am, which would not be hard, you will probably need a steady rest to get it turned with out breaking it.
