This Southwest style form is made from a nice piece of Magnolia. It is 9" diameter X 7" tall, finished with lacquer. The wall thickness is about 5/16" to give it some mass. There is a band of pyro around the opening. Comments and critiques welcome.

Beautiful form, wood and finish. What did you use as a finish?

Great looking piece and the finish is very cool. (Brian, at the end of his second sentence he says it is finished with "lacquer". FYI)

Really nice pot--that black magnolia is hard to come by.

That's a very nice form Dennis, the magnolia is beautiful. I like the embellishment on the neck, the finish is top notch too!

I like the form and would probably still like it without the piro. This wood speaks for itself. Your finish is sweet. I assume you sprayed a lot of coats.

I like the form and the wood is great looking, but I think I would prefer a collar of a contrasting wood instead of the pyro, it stands out a little too much drawing your eye away from the beauty of the wood, hey but still an outstanding piece and this is just my opinion.
