I know as a Nation we are considered very young but we have come a long way in just 237 years.

Happy Birthday to all of my fellow Americans and be safe on this very special Holiday!!!

Thanks, Keith! I hope you and yours have a great 4th of July holiday!

Also, many thanks to those great and small, known and unknown, who have sacrificed of themselves, be it time, money or their very lives to secure for us the freedoms we enjoy today.

We may be a young "nation", but we have one of the oldest and enduring "Constitutions" in the entire world!
Happy 237th! (That's a LOT of candles on the cake!):D

That's why we just build fires for grilling and shoot fireworks!

I remember seeing at least part of the movie, "Murphy's Romance" years ago. A line that has always stuck with me is when Emma (Sally Field) asks Murphy (James Garner) how old he is on his birthday so that she can put the right number of candles on the cake. He replies, "Just set the [darn] thing on fire!" (I did have to look this up for the specifics...didn't remember the movie's or actors' names).
