Training on laser engraving machines

Does anyone know how my son can go about getting technical hands-on training on laser engraving machines? He worked for a short while during his annual holiday at a laser engraving business (on the technical side - repairs, maintenance) and really liked it and found he had a knack for it/ Where can he apply to do his apprenticeship in this trade? Does anyone have any ideas to point me in the right direction? Anywhere in South Africa.
