Does anyone else have trouble mixing Real Milk Paint? I have both brands, in different colors, and whenever I use the Real brand, I have a devll of a time getting all the powder to mix. It always looks like I have a layer of Talcum on the top, and takes 10 minutes of stirring to get the dry power to accept the water. When I use the other brand (Old Fashioned), I don't seem to have this issue.
Doing something wrong?

Would a drop of dish soap break the surface tension?

When I ordered my milk paint I also ordered a bottle of their soap solution that helps break the tension when trying to mix. Still get one or two powder specks but that all.

Anyone thinking of doing anything with milk paint needs to look at the videos on Curtis Buchanan's web site. Instructional Videos 46 -50.

You mean it's harder to mix than Old Fashioned? Thanks for the warning. :)

My milk paint projects came out fine, but it sure was a clumpy mess to put on. I've never heard the dish soap trick before, but it doesn't seem like surface tension is the problem.
