I made the base out of claro walnut, and this was my first attempt at square corners. I nicked one, so had to make all of them slightly rounded. The lid is honey locust, and the finial is black walnut crotch wood. I showed it to my wife when I was all done, and the first thing she said was, "It looks like a boobie". So...that is what it is now called.
