Cedar feathers

Was starting to rough out this hunk of cedar tonight and found this cool "feather" figure. It is not very deep. I have wrapped the piece in plastic wrap and left it on the lathe until I think about what sort ot bowl to make that might preserve it. May just have to be a straight sided bowl.

Straight side seems right to me Carole. whatever you do, it will be Beautiful to look at. Can't wait!

Yea, that would look great if you could leave it Carole. I got a cedar tree last week that I am hoping to find some prizes in, but I've been busy building a new road to this place and haven't had any time in the shop. So I can only look at my new wood pile as I pass it on my tractor. :(
