I just picked up 3 Pony double bar clamps off of Craigslist for $20 and he threw in an extra half for free. Has anyone ever used these? They look like a pretty cool idea, the glue-up boards go between the two pipe to keep them aligned.

I always use dowels for my glue-ups. Since I have a horizontal boring machine dowels are the quickest and easiest for me. I don't usually have problems with alignment and usually don't have a problem with bowing if I mill my boards well so they don't take a huge amount of gluing pressure. But at $20 for three of them I couldn't resist. Anything to make glue-ups easier or get better results is worth $20.

I was just wondering if anyone had used these before? I don't have any glue-ups planned on the immediate todo list.

They are also handy for gluing up frame and panel doors too.

Oh yes, they are great for making doors or wide panels. Good score!
