It still needs a lid stay and a handle in the front. I built it for a customer who wanted it for his 5th wedding anniversary.

My friend did the wood burning. We inverted the image, then printed the text and family crest on transfer paper. Then he burned over the transferred image.

I brushed on 1 coat of GF semi-gloss polyacrylic, sanded with 320, then sprayed on another 3 coats of the same, sanding w/320 and wiping between with MS.

Nothing teaches you more about building something than building something.

So many things I would do differently next time. I'm please with the appearance and functionality of the chest.

My client hasn't send it in person, but was quite please with the pics... That was BEFORE the 4 clear coats.

Thank you for the kind words. While I understand the figure of speech, I don't know that I understand the context.
