zebrano wood, the idea was born about two years ago with the design, but I was not able to develop it, can be seen in many ways, the head of an alien animal that breathes through gills and attacks the old material, a bird of prey taking flight, I was looking for is a movement made up of shapes and colors, the combination of natural vein of the wood and the hand of man that values matter

comments and suggestions very welcome
thanks to all :)

Just looked at that for several minutes .Its quite engaging. Interesting how it grows out of the bowl edge.Im sure it took a lot of care to carve and smooth without breaking.

I am so glad you included so many pictures. There are so many neat things to see from so many angles. A couple pictures would have not done this piece justice. I love it from every view. Thanks for a look at you fabulous talent.

That is really cool, Francesco! Very well carved and has a real "space alien" feel to it. Very creative.

definitely captured the 'alien' feeling. I love zebrawood for pieces like this where the straight grain creates an emphasis of the curves. I like how the grain around the pith is worked in. Great piece, thanks for showing it, and for so many pictures.

Sir, I am completely blown away. That is one of the most intriguing, exciting pieces I have ever seen. Amazing wood selection, stunning vision!!! And of course, fantastic execution. I can't even begin to imagine how you pulled this off. To my eye, a Masterwork.

What an amazing piece! I can just barely imagine how you were able to do this. Very well done and inspiring. The bowl wood looks different from the rest of the piece. Was it treated differently?

Intriguing piece! It looks like is should be sitting on the captain's table in a Star Trek movie.

the inside of the bowl has been impregnated with black and brushed, the finish is water for aged effect

thanks for your intervention :)

you're right, you can see in many ways, if it were the head of "Alien" , Ridley Scott would be happy
