Dear all,

I'll be visiting Vancouver, BC, Canada, for three weeks in July. Does anyone know of woodworking classes there? I'm aware of the Lee Valley store (which will be my downfall, I'm sure), but I'm just looking for interesting things now.

Thanks for any local advice you can provide!

Sometimes there are woodworking classes at Port Townsend, Washington:

It is just across the water. There is a ferry from Vancouver, BC to Port Angeles, WA. It isn't too far of a drive from there. Not sure of all the other ferry service from the Seattle side of the water.

There is a listing for a ferry from Victoria, BC to Port Townsend, WA.

As far as I know, there is no ferry from Vancouver to port Angeles. But it isn't too bad a drive. Check out inside passage school of fine woodworking. Insidepassage.ca

What ever you do try to find some yellow cedar and take it back with you. You won't regret it - it's a beautiful wood.

Hey Federico ..

Welcome !

Woodworking classes.. hmm.. http://vancouver.ca/parks-recreation-culture/woodworking-classes.aspx

I have not attended these classes. They appear to be in Yaletown, which is pretty close to downtown.. Easy to get too ..

Have fun ..

Oh .. there are two Lee Valley stores.. You should really visit both of them .. lol
