4 Cups made from Cherry - 5 1/2" tall x 3"dia. A gentlemen wanted some wooden cups to toast the memory of a friend at the hunting cabin once a year. The outside is finished with Carnuba wax. The inside is just sanded. I guess if you age whiskey in oak barrels you can drin264177k it from cherry cups.

The whiskey is not going to be in the cup long enough for the cheery wood to have any effect on it, or atleast that has been my experience with whiskey. I am currently turning a small goblet, almost brandy snifter, out of cherry for single malt scotch. I wasn't really planning on applying a finish to the inside. Pretty much do as you did.
