Hello Creekers

I have not acquired some great baltic birch. I have been experimenting with the best settings for my machine and came up with running 2 passes at 100(P) 1.0(S). First of all can someone explain what changing the frequency to a higher setting does(currently set at 1000 Hz, what the correction actually does(currently set at 0). Also I am getting brown edges on the top surface, is there any way to eliminate this, the bottom surface has no browning effect on it, it looks perfect? How much air pressure should I runnning, is there such a thing as too much air pressure or will this affect the cutting? Does wetting to the top surface eliminate the browning completely.

Apply transfer tape before cutting, and if you still get any burn marks, mist that with water.
I don't have that problem on my Epilog 45 watt with 1/8", but use it for 1/4". My air assist is always running at 25 psi.

Bryan;
Crank the frequency (ppi) down to about 150 for wood

I am using an inexpensive airbrush compressor from Airbrush City, think it was about $80 but have had this one now for 6 years, after wearing out a more expensive Paasche in 2 years.
