Most, if not all users already know this, but I haven't seen it on any forum so I'll put the obvious in print!
There is a latch fixture on this saw, but it doesn't come with a spring loaded latch pin. Probably for good reasons as the way it's designed, it wouldn't be too difficult to flip a spring loaded pin to the ACTIVE position under power. However, a bolt (shown is a 5/16 that fits well) will do the job just fine. There are 2 holes in the inside shroud and one of them is coincident to the blade changing function. Plunge saw, insert bolt, unscrew the arbor bolt, change blade, reverse procedure, put the bolt and hex wrench back in your pocket.
