View Full Version : Paper box sources?

I have a customer that's looking for what I call paper boxes. 1 piece boxes, that are small, flaps on each end and fairly thin, compared to cardboard. Used a lot in the retail world. I've looked at papermart, nashvillewraps, unline, etc and they all seem to have boxes that are too deep. They are looking for something in the 4" x 4" x 3/4" (or 1" size). They do want the 1 piece box, not a 2 piece jewelry or gift box.

I don't know all the box terminology, so I'm struggling to help them because I don't know what to search for. I think gift card boxes are very close to what they need, dimension wise.

Any suggestions on phrases that will get me better searches or perhaps links to better sources? I've also spent some time with online chat at nashvillewraps but they didn't have the right type of products.

You may find something here you can cut from card stock. This would be cool as scrapbook shops sell soooo many styled of card stock.

Actually, in the past I have "deconstructed" a golf ball box, then printed and cut custom ones for charity golf outting I organized.
These went over real well!

Thanks Marty, they aren't asking me to make them, just asked if I knew where they could get them. From what I have seen, I can't make them for what they sell for, as they all seem to be sourced from China.

Mind posting a link? Only thing I found was a cardboard box from them.

Thanks for the help!

Here's the link. May be too heavy. http://www.uline.com/Product/AdvSearchResult.aspx?Length=4&Width=4&Height=1&Tolerance=1&WebClass=4&DimensionalSearch=Y

Mike, that's a cardboard box. They are looking for the thin, single layer type box. Like a pack of cigarette (the box version). It's something they are putting on a retail shelf, so they don't want cardboard boxes.

Do you want a kraft carton? There's a 4" x 1.0625" x 4" size on the fourth page at http://www.mailersco.com/shop/contents/en-us/d5_kraftrstcartons_03.html.

That's exactly the type of thing! Thanks Matt!
