I am just getting started with some very basic veneering. I have found enough information on the internet to proceed with this project. I prefer books over DVDs and websites as I can sit and read or lay in bed and read before going to sleep at night.

In the future I plan on using more veneers possibly in a more complicated manner. Is there a definitive reference book on veneering?

Thanks!

W.A. Lincoln,"Complete Manual of Wood Veneering"

Scott Grove,"Advanced Veneering"

Larry Robinson, "The Art of Inlay."

The first is a thorough treatment of the subject including industrial production, Groves has an excellent coverage of basic techniques as well as some spectacular unconventional seaming with burls, and Robinson's book covers inlay using pearl, metal and other materials as well as veneer. All highly recommended.

For me it is "Marquetry Course" by Jack Metcalfe

I don't have the book in front of me now, but I think the name is "Woodworker's Guidet to Veneering and Inlay"
