I am interested in doing some wood caving with PowerCarver 400K. I live in Australia and it is 240 volt here,, where in the US it is 110 volts, so I am unable to buy from the US. I've searched on the net in Australia for a supplier but no luck. Does anyone have a lead or know where I can get the 400K and the ultra quiet compressor from that runs on 240 volts ?

Donnie I don't know the PC 400K but woodcarver's supply does have the micro pro that runs on 110/220. It turns up at 45,000 rpm and is a rather neat unit. It runs less than $200.00 in the States. I believe the URL is woodcarverssupply.com That is with two ss Darryl

The SilentAire compressors manufactured in Italy are available in models compatible with Australian line voltages, which can be somewhat variable.

In the USA they're marketed by SilentAire Technology, Houston, TX, and you may find information there helpful until you locate an Australian distributor or a distributor that ships to Australia.

These are outstanding workhorses. The Super Silent line is, for all practical purposes, noiseless. You'll need to determine the output required for rotary engravers such as the PowerCarver at 400,000rpm, though. According to the Lindsay AirGraver compressor page, the Super Silent 50-TC may do the job.

Thanks for that Daryl,,, Yeah I'm more after a 400,000 rpm, but I'll look up the url anyway and see what I find :)
